Supported Charities

Our members’ commitment to service extends well beyond their work shift. Each year the WCSDA makes charitable contributions and provides volunteer work for a number of benevolent organizations. Below you will find information for some of the organizations we support.

Serving our Community

National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund

The mission of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is to generate increased public support for the law enforcement profession by permanently recording and appropriately commemorating the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers; and to provide information that will help promote law enforcement safety.

James D. Hoff Peace Officer Memorial

In 1987, a call came from the National Law Enforcement Memorial for a list of Nevada officers who were killed in the line of duty. It was soon realized that there was not a comprehensive list available, so a statewide effort was made to create a list that could be used by the National Law Enforcement Memorial.

Northern Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation (NNCCF)

The Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation (NNCCF) has provided help, hope, and courage to local families affected by childhood cancer since 2000. The foundation was named in 2009 after two foundations in Reno joined forces and legally merged.

9-99 Foundation

The National 9-99 Police and Sheriff Foundation raises funds for injured or fallen officers and their families, invests in K9 safety and training, and provides counseling and mental health resources to all officers in need.

Northern Nevada C.O.P.S. - The Northern Nevada Concerns of Police Survivors

The Northern Nevada Concerns of Police Survivors is a non-profit organization, which provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families of law enforcement officers killed in the line-of-duty.
